Community Celebrations

We recognize how difficult it can be trying to navigate life in another culture. In order to encourage and support each other and build community, we participate in various community celebrations together throughout the year.

Día Del Niño

Every April 30th, Mexico and other Latina-American countries celebrate The Day of the Child with fun activities, including carnivals, field trips, and many other activities! In collaboration with the Poudre River Library, we brought this fun celebration to Fort Collins to celebrate and empower our children. We provided a fun space for our children and families to enjoy themselves and unite our community.

Pride

Fuerza Latina supports our queer latine community. In 2024 we have several events planned to outreach to the community and to celebrate their belonging and joy.

Día de Los Muertos

On November 2nd, countries in Latin America celebrate El Día de Los Muertos to honor their loved ones who have passed. This a very beautiful and colorful celebration that means a lot to our Latine communities!

Fuerza Latina has hosted many fun activities in celebration of Dia de Los Muertos, including building altars, sugar skull-making parties, and painting activities!!
